Apparently, I’ve Been Busy
Yikes. I haven’t written a letter here in a while.
I kept thinking, I’m not really that busy.
And then suddenly it’s 2:30 in the afternoon, time to pick up my grandson, and I look down at my desk and realize I have successfully made two sheets of stickers.
Two.
Never mind the other ten sheets that didn’t work out. 😂
Welcome to my life with a new Cricut.

My New Morning Routine
My days have settled into a new rhythm lately.
Monday to Friday, I’m up around 5:45 a.m. I get ready, make my coffee, do my prayers, and then head out to get my grandson so I can take him to school for 8:00.
Some mornings I get a walk in with Roxy, and right now Calgary is putting on one of those gorgeous autumn shows where the trees look like they can’t decide what colour they want to be.
Honestly, I can relate.
I feel like I’ve been changing colours about every twenty minutes lately too.
And Then There Was the Cricut...
I have officially had my Cricut for about a week.
ONE WEEK.
It feels like I have completed a four-year university degree in sticker engineering.
There has been printing.
Cutting.
Kiss cutting.
Die cutting.
Not cutting.
Cutting too much.
Cutting not enough.
Laminating.
Swearing.
Trying again.
And that beautiful moment when you finally figure something out and think:
OH! I GOT IT!
...only to discover something entirely different has now gone wrong.
But look at those stickers!
I made those.
And I LOVE them.
There is something incredibly satisfying about seeing all these silly little ideas that have been living in my head suddenly sitting in front of me as actual stickers.
GnomeBert. Gnomezilla. Dale. Mabel. The Reapurr. The Booquet.
This ridiculous little world of mine is becoming real.

Three Days Mystic Market
And all of this madness is happening while I’m getting ready for the Three Days Mystic Market.
My main reason for being at the market is still very much me — psychic mediumship and astrology readings.
That is work I’ve done for decades, and it is still such a huge part of who I am.
But this market feels a little different.
Because I’m bringing June’s Studio with me too.
My whimsical stickers. My characters. My artwork. And, of course, Letters from Mama G.
It feels like I’m allowing another side of myself to come out and play.
And one minute I’m thinking:
YES. THIS IS IT. THIS IS THE ROAD.
Twenty minutes later:
Is this the road?
😂
Apparently we're taking the scenic route.
Scorpio Is Scorpio-ing
And then, because apparently I needed a little more intensity in my life, we have the astrology.
Good grief.
I have Venus in Scorpio.
Mercury in Scorpio.
And I'm a Scorpio.
So with all this Scorpio energy happening right now, there is a rather significant part of me that would like to bugger off from the entire world, disappear into a little cottage somewhere, drink coffee, make stickers and communicate exclusively with woodland creatures.
I don't know about you, but...
WTF.
There. That's my professional astrological interpretation for the week.
Oh Yes... I Also Fell Down
Because learning a Cricut, preparing for a market, doing readings, taking my grandson to school and back, creating June's Studio and navigating Scorpio season apparently wasn't enough...
I took a tumble down my daughter's front lawn.
Yep.
Bruised knee.
Bruised ribs.
Scraped-up right ankle.
Because why walk gracefully across a lawn when you can make an entrance?
So there have been a lot of ups and downs lately — some metaphorical and apparently some quite literal.
Lots of turns.
Lots of pivoting.
Lots of figuring things out as I go.
And yet...
I Am Loving My Life
That's the funny part.
Underneath all of the chaos, I am genuinely loving my life.
I love creating.
I love doing the letters.
I love watching June's Studio slowly become something real.
I'm excited about the market.
I'm excited to sit down and do readings.
I'm excited to put my stickers out on a table and see if someone picks up one of my ridiculous little characters and laughs.
And yes, sometimes I wonder whether this is the right road.
But maybe we don't always have to know.
Maybe sometimes the road is just the one we're enjoying walking down right now.
Even when we only manage to make two sheets of stickers.
Even when ten sheets end up in the garbage.
Even when we're bruised, tired, questioning everything and contemplating becoming a Scorpio hermit.
There is still something rather wonderful about waking up and being excited about what you're creating.
So that's where I've been.
Creating.
Learning.
Falling down.
Getting back up.
Changing direction.
Making stickers.
Walking Roxy under beautiful autumn trees.
And apparently...
being much busier than I thought.
Love,
Mary June / Mama G
Creating a connection, one letter at a time.
